Real Food

During our recent holiday in Weston-Super-Mare we discovered a gem of a restaurant called “Cafe La Mer”, a short distance from the pier.  It is a well established family run restaurant providing quality home made food all the family enjoyed, and at reasonable prices too! It is clean, comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere and impeccable service.  We are definitely going there...

All I can say is on behalf of myself and my sister and disbaled mother wheelchair user, anyone in Weston should take the time 5mins at the most to walk away from the sea front cafes and try this one. A small very friendly run restauarant the owner/chef very helpful and cooks excellent food.  My mother and I had a beautiful freshly cooked piece of cod and chips and my sister a baked spud and side salad with filling a generous portion which she couildn’t finish. Also advertised 3 course meal £6.95 I dont’t think you can complain at that. My sister enjoyed her coffee and me and Mom enjoyed a pot of tea...

Perfect

Lovely home-cooked food in a retro perfectly preserved cafe from the 60s. Their home cut chips, lightly fried, are the best companion for their omelettes! Great for those on a budget as prices are very low! My parter described their gravy as the ‘best ever, complete knockout!’ and he always has their chicken and leek pie every time we go. The chef & waitress are very accommodating and are attentive to everyone’s whims, no matter how small. They really make the friendly atmosphere and I always enjoy seeing the friendly faces they...

But believe me it’s worth the effort to find it! The menu is an entertaining read, humorous & witty, consisting of all the usual favourites including fantastic homemade handcut chips!! Prices are...
